a little about me

It all started with a Canon point and shoot camera, the desire to take better pictures of my beautiful daughter, Brittany, and a mild case of OCD. Okay, maybe it is more like a moderate to severe case of OCD…but it did lead to my passion for photography…so my compulsion is actually a blessing in disguise (at least that’s what I tell everyone).

Many camera, lens and gear purchases later, I decided I should learn how to use all of it to take great photographs. I began with classes at UT, went on to private instruction with my UT professor, Tom Geisler, and then moved on to mentoring sessions with Rich Smith of Rich Smith Photography in Chattanooga. Rich’s enthusiasm has really fueled my passion. He’s so much fun to learn from. I have been truly fortunate to work with such a talented photographer and all around fantastic guy.

At last I can share where my passion for photography has led me.
